I like to work with an urgency that creates a certain spiritual energy within myself. It is this 'nervous energy' that fuels me when painting. It is the combination of seeing and feeling something much deeper that I try to communicate.
I studied Graphic design at Preston Poly (Lancaster University). Influenced by the fantastic colours and images witnessed through travelling, this artistic hobby ran along side my main career in computer marketing. After enough 'jetset' in 1992, I switched careers and set up my own design/mural/trompe l'oeil business in Surrey, for both private and commercial markets. Returning to Devon at the end of the 1990's, I have undertaken commissions - which may be requested in a particular style, format and deadline. My one love of painting - I am drawn to the Scilly Isles for its magical qualities. My inspiration comes from a variety of sources. Contrast, of any kind. The amazing detail of nature. My deep spiritual intuition... Oh and blue!
